Rules and Safety
Tutor-UK is dedicated to treating all clients, students, guests and members of the team with utmost respect.
Clients, students and anyone who may accompany them are free to contact Tutor-UK, should they have any concerns relating to the professional services and tuition being rendered by Tutor-UK members.
In an emergency, clients, students anyone who may accompany them and members of Tutor-UK, should immediately contact 999.
It is the express hope of Tutor-UK that the following will not occur under any circumstances:
Tutor-UK has the right to terminate any tuition or service, immediately, without prior notice and without any exchange for services in place of a monetary refund, should clients or students violate any of Tutor-UK policies, as listed on: http://www.tutoruk.com. Under such circumstances, Tutor-UK also has the right to immediately revoke the right of any group or individual to make an exchange for services.
Tutor-UK is not obligated to respond to any groups or individuals who demand that services and tuition are rendered in a way, and/or in a place, in which Tutor-UK does not agree (e.g. demanding texts and emails).
Members of Tutor-UK are not obligated to accept clients, students and those who may accompany them, into their homes or office space, should they have any reason to feel unsafe because of any of the groups or individuals. Should members of Tutor-UK be threatened or mistreated in any way by clients, students or those who accompany them (e.g. being followed on the street, or receiving inappropriate text messages), members of Tutor-UK are free to contact the police on 999. Tutor-UK requests that members of Tutor-UK aso inform Tutor-UK regarding any such circumstance, as soon as possible. Members of Tutor-UK have the right to request such groups and individuals to immediately leave their homes or office space, should they not wish to continue with the Tutor-UK business or service being rendered, due to the mistreatment rendered to them by clients, students or those who may accompany them. Tutor-UK requests that members of Tutor-UK also inform Tutor-UK regarding any such circumstance, as soon as possible.
Clients, students and those who accompany them, are requested to only approach Tutor-UK members in their homes and in their office space, as per any prior agreement made between Tutor-UK and each client and student.
Clients, students and those who accompany them, are requested not to approach members of Tutor-UK in order to mistreat them, either in person, on the phone, online or in any other way.
Members of Tutor-UK, clients, students and those who may accompany them, must not exchange personal details without the prior consent of Tutor-UK. Members of Tutor-UK, clients, students and those who may accompany them, must not, as a result of unlawfully exchanging personal details with one another without the consent of Tutor-UK, engage in the same type of business services and tuition with one another.
Tutor-UK is not required to monetarily refund groups and individuals for any tuition and services paid for. However, Tutor-UK chooses to allow clients and students exchange the amount remaining for each service or tuition, for Tutor-UK services. Please see Tutor-UK's Refunds and Cancellation Policies
As is common practice, clients and students of Tutor-UK may receive occasional appropriate business correspondence by their specific mentor, coach, tutor or any other member of the Tutor-UK administration or leadership team, relating to Tutor-UK services and/or tuition. Relevant correspondence will always be passed onto the specific Tutor-UK mentor, coach or tutor of each client and student.
Tutor-UK will not tolerate any unlawful behaviour (e.g. groups or individuals harassing members of staff - verbally, on the internet, or in any other way). Tutor-UK will immediately report such groups and individuals to the relevant authorities.
Rescheduling and Cancellations
We understand that from time-to-time lateness may occur.
If you are going to be late, or should a need to reschedule a lesson arise, please contact your Tutor-UK teacher as soon as possible (preferably no later than 2 hours before your scheduled lesson). If you are going to be late, please send an email or text to your teacher stating what time you can attend the lesson on the same say, or whether you wish to reschedule for another day. Your teacher will then contact you accordingly.
If your teacher does not hear from you regarding when you hope to commence the lesson due to lateness, he/she will wait in the online classroom for 15 minutes. Your lesson will be considered cancelled after 15 minutes. Your teacher will offer two or more available slots when he/she can next teach you. Often, lessons may be rescheduled to begin within the hour.
If your teacher is late, and you do not hear from your tutor before the lesson starts, please wait in your online classroom for up to 15 minutes. You are welcome to offer two or more available slots. Your teacher will then get back to you as soon as possible. Often, lessons may be rescheduled to begin within the hour.
You and your teacher may also decide to reschedule the lesson for a few minutes or a few hours later. In such events, you and your teacher are required to individually email Tutor-UK stating the day and time the lesson has been rescheduled to. You can then re-enter your online classroom at least 15 minutes before the start of your rescheduled lesson.
For cancellations, you may exchange the service you have purchased, for another service. For example, if you cancel a one hour online tutoring service for which you paid €25.00, this cost may be used to contribute towards a coaching session, proofreading or any other service on the Tutor-UK website. We do not offer refunds.
